COP17 to be hosted by Armenia
Armenia will host COP17, U.N. Conference of the Parties, in 2026, Armenian Minister of Environment Hakob Simidyan said.
“Armenia has been chosen as the host country of the U.N. Biodiversity Conference with 65 votes,” Simidyan noted.
The choice was made by the participating countries of COP16 held in Cali, Colombia.
The event is dedicated to discussing environmental issues, finding agreed solutions to stop climate change and protect biodiversity.
