Evacuations and massive power outages in large Armenian communities in US as fire rages on
Massive power outages are occurring in Glendale, a city with a large Armenian population. The electricity supply companies have reported that these outages could last for up to 48 hours, Los Angeles-based journalist Gohar Veziryan told ABC media.
In Pasadena, where many Armenians reside, mass evacuation cases have been recorded.
“I heard from friends that they were alerted to take important documents and essential items and leave their homes. In Burbank, strong winds have been recorded, and forecasts predict more for tomorrow,” Veziryan stated.
According to her, the situation is changing rapidly; the area is large, and conditions vary from street to street and community to community.
