Clashes erupt between Kurds and Syrian forces in Aleppo Governorate

Fierce clashes broke out overnight in Syria’s Aleppo Governorate between the Kurdish units of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Syrian General Security Directorate forces. Casualties among SDF fighters have been reported, Sham FM Radio says.

“The clashes took place in the area of the Tishrin Dam, near the northeastern city of Manbij in Aleppo Governorate,” the media outlet said.

According to the radio station, the forces of the General Security Directorate launched attacks on several SDF checkpoints in the southern outskirts of Aleppo’s Ayn al-Arab city.
