Pashinyan and Belozyorov discussed projects for reconstructing railway sections from Armenia to the orders of Azerbaijan and Turkey

Russian Railways (RZD) is open to dialogue with the government of Armenia and to a joint evaluation of the concession agreement's effectiveness, stated the head of the company, Oleg Belozyorov.

Belozyorov noted that the task of railway workers is to provide the economies of Russia and Armenia with transport connectivity. The concession has allowed Armenia's railway infrastructure to be preserved and developed without shifting the costs of restoration and maintenance onto the republic's state budget. Moreover, all profits were directed toward the development of Armenia's railways. The total volume of investments from the holding's funds and the revenues of the South Caucasus Railway during the concession amounted to approximately $400 million.

Additionally, following the meeting, Pashinyan and Belozyorov agreed to establish a joint working group to assess the potential for transit communications utilizing Armenia's railway network.

The parties also reviewed projects for the reconstruction of railway sections from Armenia to the borders of Azerbaijan and Turkey.
