The actions and statements of the Armenian authorities do
not reflect the true relationships between the Armenian and Russian nations.
Russian senator Alexander Bashkin said this to RIA Novosti.
“The actions and statements of the Armenian authorities do
not reflect the true relationships between the Armenian and Russian nations. It
all has nothing to do with the true and long-standing relationships that have
developed between Armenia and Russia. Thus, it is important that we draw a line
between what certain politicians’ — even high-ranking politicians — state and
what ordinary people think,” Bashkin said.
According to Bashkin, both nations appreciate and cherish
the relationships between the two states and will not allow their breakdown, no
matter how much the West wants it.
“Some of those statements are aimed at damaging the
relationships between the two states. However, nothing will come out of it,” he
said.
