Syrian Armenian Harut Banoyan was born in 1976 in Aleppo. He
was the commander of the self-defense forces in the Armenian quarters
throughout the Syrian war. In 2018, Harut decided to go back to his roots; he
returned to Armenia and joined the RA Armed Forces.
Harut distinguished himself with his modesty, patriotism and
devotion not only in the army, but also among his friends.
