The RA Government has applied to the European Court of Human
Rights, making a request for an interim measure against Azerbaijan regarding
the serviceman captured by Azerbaijan yesterday, Spokesperson for the Office of
the RA Representative on International Legal Matters Hasmik Samvelyan reports.
To remind, yesterday the Azerbaijani Armed Forces stated
that the RA Armed Forces had made an infiltration attempt in the eastern part
of the border zone and the attempt had been thwarted by fire. Afterward, the RA
Foreign Ministry published a video, denying Azerbaijan’s statement. In the
video, a group of Azerbaijani servicemen approach reservist Gagik Voskanyan,
who appeared in their territory. First, they talk to him, then arrest and take
him to an unknown destination.
