Ecuador presidential candidate assassinated after rally

Ecuadorian presidential candidate Fernando Villavicencio was
assassinated after his campaign rally.  He was killed by three shots to
the head. The politician’s death was also confirmed by President Guillermo
Lasso. Eight people sustained injuries in the incident.
