Assad: There will be no talks with Erdoğan so long as the Turkish troops are not withdrawn from the territory of Syria
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad ruled out the possibility
of talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan so long as the Turkish
troops are not withdrawn from the territory of Syria. The Syrian president said
this in his interview to Sky News Arabia.
“The meeting with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will not be held
under the conditions set out by Ankara. Entering into negotiations in the
current situation means recognition of Turkey’s occupation of the northern
regions of Syria,” Assad said.
