Pashinyan: We would not object if Russia decides to withdraw its military base from Armenia

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that Yerevan would not object if Russia decides to withdraw its military base from Armenia.

Pashinyan made the remarks at a briefing with journalists following a meeting of the Armenian government.

“During this period, we have never raised the issue of the Russian military base. We do not consider the presence of Russia’s 102nd Military Base on the territory of Armenia a vital necessity. If Russia decides to withdraw the military base from Armenia, we will not object, but if they want to stay, we are also ready to discuss it. But during this period, we have never raised these issues,” Pashinyan noted․
