Lavrov expressed confidence that Armenia will soon lose its desire to join the European Union

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov expressed confidence that Armenia will soon lose its desire to join the European Union, РИА Новости reports.

“Economically, the European Union is losing its advantages due to many factors, including its own shortsightedness, if not stupidity. Out of inertia, countries—such as our Serbian friends and now our Armenian colleagues—continue striving to join the EU. I am confident that they will lose this desire very soon,” Lavrov said on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum.
