Today, outside the Palace of Culture in Martuni, a group of men provoked and manhandled journalist Nairi Khokhikyan, who is also the coordinator of the Hayakve initiative in Martuni.
“Some very specific people approached, clearly under direction, and demanded that the signature collection be stopped, emphasizing that no one had the right to criticize their prime minister. Then they started hurling insults, and I was forced to call the police to calm down these people,” Nairi Khokhikyan commented.
According to him, the men tried to take away the ballot documents, he did not allow it, but, nevertheless, they managed to destroy some information leaflets.
“We continue holding the Hayakve signature collection in Martuni. Thank you to all the people of Martuni, who, regardless of provocations like this, keep coming and participating,” he said.
