Russia to open new consulate general in Armenia
Russia will soon open a new consulate general in Armenia.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Evgeniy Ivanov said this in an interview with
Komsomolskaya Pravda.
“Decisions on the opening of consulates have already been
reached and agreed with the authorities of the states. Consulates will be
opened in Kapan (Armenia), Aktau (Kazakhstan), Samarkand (Uzbekistan), Denpasar
(Indonesia) and Malé (the Republic of Maldives),” reads the statement issued by
the Russian Foreign Ministry.
To remind, the Consulate General in Kapan will become the
second consulate general of Russia in Armenia after the one in Gyumri.
