Armenian Investigative Committee: 218 people died, 120 were injured in the blast at fuel depot in Artsakh

In the blast at a fuel depot on the highway from Stepanakert
to Askeran, 218 people died, and 120 were injured, the Investigative Committee
of Armenia reports.

Three victims still remain unidentified, as the relatives
have not shown up so that reference samples could be collected for forensic
medical examination. The identity of 138 victims has been established through
forensic medical examination, while that of the remaining 77 victims has been
established through other investigative activities.

At the time of the blast, there were around 1,000 citizens
in the closed area of the depot.

According to the Investigative Committee, there were 300,000
liters of summer diesel, 77,000 liters of winter diesel, and about 42,000
liters of gasoline in the fuel depot.
