The 96th Oscars shortlists have been announced. An Armenian
film has appeared on the Oscars shortlist for the first time, the National
Cinema Center of Armenia reports.
Michael Goorjian’s “Amerikatsi” is shortlisted for the
International Feature Film category. The National Cinema Center of Armenia
allocated funds for the film production. Arman Nshanyan is the producer on the
Armenian side, the production company is the People Of Ar Productions.
The nominations for the 96th Oscars will be announced on
Jan. 23, 2024, while the award ceremony will take place on March 10, 2024, at
the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood and will be broadcast live on ABC.
