Russian Chief of the General Staff: The Russian peacekeeping troops ensured the safe evacuation of almost the entire population of Nagorno-Karabakh to Armenia

During the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh in September, the
Russian peacekeepers sheltered over 10,000 civilians in their bases, then
ensured the safe evacuation of almost the entire population of Karabakh to
Armenia. Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery
Gerasimov said this.

“During the military operations, the Russian peacekeeping
troops sheltered more than 10,000 civilians in their bases, and then ensured
the safe evacuation of almost the entire population of Nagorno-Karabakh to
Armenia,” Gerasimov said, noting that almost 300 wounded were transported.

“Meanwhile, our military continues to perform tasks as a
guarantor of a peaceful life and the return of residents to the region,” he
said.
