Volodin says Russia supplies gas to Armenia at its own expense, receiving immorality and dishonesty’ from Pashinyan in return

Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin has stated that Nikol Pashinyan has already made several political decisions aligning Armenia with countries that are “at war with Russia and seeking to destroy it.”

According to Volodin, Armenia has earlier adopted legislation initiating the process of joining the European Union and has also recognized the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court (ICC), after which it became a full member.

“From a political standpoint, all of Pashinyan’s decisions have already been made. I want to emphasize that he supports building relations with countries that are unfriendly toward Russia, are at war with us, are working to destroy the Russian Federation, and are obstructing our development,” Volodin said.

He further stated that Russia supplies gas to Armenia “at its own expense,” thereby supporting the country’s citizens and economy, but in return receives “immorality and dishonesty” from Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan.

“This is not a way to build relations,” Volodin concluded.
