Kremlin says EAEU to discuss Armenia’s membership in the bloc tomorrow
The EAEU leaders will on Friday discuss Armenia’s membership in the organization, Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said, according to ria.ru.
“The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council meeting will take place tomorrow. I think this issue will be discussed to some extent,” Ushakov said.
Separately, Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov dismissed as “nonsense” a suggestion by journalists that the Armenian flag could be lowered at the EAEU summit and time should not be wasted on the matter.
“This is the most absurd statement I have heard from journalists,” Peskov said.
