Mayor and other officials arrested in Turkey

Turkish law enforcement authorities have carried out an operation at the Buca municipality in the city of Izmir over allegations of corruption.

According to Turkish media reports, 62 people have been detained and charged as part of the operation.

Among those arrested are Mayor Görkem Duman, his deputies, and assistants.
