Volodin says Pashinyan personally committed to advancing Armenia’s EU membership

Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin has stated that Pashinyan has likely assumed a personal obligation regarding Armenia’s EU membership and is fulfilling it, according to ria.ru.

According to him, Pashinyan is not interested either in the fate of the Armenian people or in Armenia’s statehood; he is hiding from his citizens the costs of Armenia’s withdrawal from the EAEU.

“The same happened in Ukraine. When making the decision to integrate into the EU, they spoke about one thing, including development prospects. In reality, it turned out that Ukrainian agricultural products were essentially never allowed to enter European markets,” Volodin said. “The same awaits Armenia.”
