Peskov says Armenia’s leadership artificially forcing country to choose between EAEU and EU
Russia is convinced that the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is more beneficial for Armenia than a European path, Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has said.
“It is more beneficial for Armenians; they earn more money through the EAEU, have a better future with the EAEU, and develop faster with the EAEU. This will not happen with Europe,” Peskov said.
According to him, Armenia’s leadership is trying to artificially force the country to choose between the EAEU and Europe.
Peskov also noted that Armenia has not been involved in the activities of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) for a long time, RIA Novosti reports.
