Azerbaijani official says ‘Zangezur Corridor’ will lower cargo transport costs and shorten route to Europe
The distance, logistics costs and number of border crossings for cargo shipments from Azerbaijan to Europe will be reduced after the launch of the “Zangezur Corridor”, Kanan Gurbanov, secretary general of the Azerbaijan International Road Carriers Association, said, referring to the Trump Route as the “Zangezur Corridor” once again.
He said that after the corridor becomes operational, the main priority will be to simplify and digitize border procedures along the route as much as possible, as well as integrate innovative solutions used in other transport routes.
According to Gurbanov, the process is currently expected to be completed, after which significant positive changes will take place in the freight transportation sector.
