OSCE chairperson-in-office to visit Azerbaijan to discuss South Caucasus peace process

Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis will visit Azerbaijan on an official trip in his capacity as OSCE chairperson-in-office.

During his visit to Azerbaijan, Cassis will hold talks on bilateral relations, the peace process in the South Caucasus, and the role of Switzerland’s OSCE chairmanship in the region.

Following Azerbaijan, the OSCE chairperson-in-office will travel to Turkmenistan. The visits to Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan are scheduled for August 4-5.

The Swiss foreign minister’s trip will mark the first stage of a regional tour that will continue in the autumn with visits to Armenia and Georgia.
