Iran and Oman agree to share revenue from shipping through Strait of Hormuz

Iran and Oman have reached an agreement to share revenue generated from shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, an official with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said following recent talks between the two countries.

IRGC spokesperson Hossein Mohebbi clarified that the Strait of Hormuz would remain closed until Washington accepts Tehran’s conditions.

“During these negotiations, agreements were reached on each side’s share of the strait’s waters, as well as on the division of revenues between Iran and Oman,” Mohebbi said.
