
Swedish Prime Minister resigns following opposition victory in the parliamentary elections
Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has announced his resignation following the opposition’s victory in the parliamentary elections.
Kristersson leads the center-right bloc that lost the parliamentary elections held on September 13.
“I ask to be relieved of my duties as Prime Minister,” Kristersson wrote in a letter to the Speaker of Parliament. He posted the text of the letter on his X page.
