Marco Rubio: US is ready for possible talks with Iranian delegation in New York

The United States is ready for potential talks with the Iranian delegation on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated this in an interview with NBC News.

He noted that no specific meeting has been scheduled yet, but the U.S. is open to the possibility, especially if it can lead to a positive outcome and the main goal—preventing Iran from getting nuclear weapons.

“And the point is that Iran must not have nuclear weapons under any circumstances. They simply cannot have them,” Rubio emphasized.
