Azerbaijani FM: TRIPP will strengthen broader connectivity and foster lasting regional peace

On the sidelines of The 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov addressed the event “Prosperity through Peace: Investing in the Trans-Caspian Trade Route and TRIPP,” organized by the United States government, highlighting Azerbaijan’s vision for stronger regional connectivity as a driver of economic growth, resilient supply chains and new investment opportunities.

This was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan in a post on the social network X.

Particular attention was given to TRIPP as a project bringing together connectivity, peacebuilding and prosperity. It was noted that TRIPP is one of the key outcomes of the Washington Summit. The project will also foster broader regional connectivity and strengthen long-term peace in the region. Minister expressed gratitude for the efforts of the United States in the process of realizing the project.

The Foreign Minister emphasized that the project extends beyond the transport sector, holding significant potential for developing regional energy links and diversifying energy sources.

According to Azerbaijan’s perspective, the development of the Trans-Caspian route and new connectivity projects like TRIPP can create additional opportunities for regional trade, investment, and energy cooperation, fostering closer ties between countries and markets.
