Trump: Conflict with Iran will be resolved soon, and oil prices will drop

The conflict with Iran will be resolved soon, and the country no longer poses a nuclear threat to the United States, US President Donald Trump stated.

"There is no nuclear threat anymore. They are broken now. And here is what will happen as soon as this conflict ends—and that will happen soon—oil prices will drop," he said in an interview with CBS Austin.

The US President stated that Iran acquiring nuclear weapons would have created the threat of missile strikes against major American cities, including Los Angeles and San Diego.

"We had to deal with Iran because otherwise they would have gotten a nuclear weapon. And then we would have had a real problem. Imagine if they had launched a missile strike against Los Angeles, San Diego, or another major American city. Now that would have been a real problem," Trump said in the interview with CBS.
