Shalva Papuashvili։ Brussels prefers a boycott over dialogue with Georgia
Brussels prefers a boycott over dialogue with Georgia, which fundamentally contradicts European values.
This was stated by the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili.
According to him, EU member states are interested in dialogue between Georgia and the European Union.
"Unfortunately, Brussels is currently acting as an obstacle in relations between Georgia and EU member states. It is important for Georgia to maintain ties with member countries, as confrontation is not the European way. Regrettably, the bureaucracy in Brussels has chosen this non-European path. It is time for Brussels to abandon confrontation and return to the European path," Shalva Papuashvili added.
EU Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos stated that Brussels will not cooperate with the Georgian authorities until they begin moving toward European values.
