Erdoğan to run in presidential election for the last time

Incumbent Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will run for the presidency for the final time.

This was stated by Mehmet Uçum, the chief advisor to the Turkish president.

"It has largely been determined that the regular presidential elections will be held in March or April 2028. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will run as a candidate in the upcoming elections for the final time," he noted.
