Azerbaijan’s budget deficit for 2027 projected to exceed $1 billion

A draft law on Azerbaijan’s state budget for 2027 has been submitted to the country’s parliament, the Milli Majlis.

Under the draft, state budget revenues for 2027 are projected at 39.254 billion manats (approximately $23.09 billion), while expenditures are estimated at 42.4 billion manats (approximately $24.94 billion).

Accordingly, Azerbaijan’s state budget deficit for 2027 is projected to reach 3.146 billion manats (approximately $1.85 billion), equivalent to 2.2% of gross domestic product (GDP).
