Trump comments on his party’s defeat in the midterm elections

US President Donald Trump announced the main reasons behind the Republican Party’s defeat in the midterm congressional elections.

Trump cited the war with Iran and high fuel prices as the main factors behind his party’s poor performance. He noted that high fuel prices had prevented Americans from feeling the benefits of the country’s economic growth.

According to the latest data, the Democratic Party has gained an advantage in both chambers of Congress.

Based on the latest reported results, Democrats have secured 219 seats in the House of Representatives, compared with 123 for Republicans. In the Senate, Democrats have won 53 seats, while Republicans have secured 41.
