Erdoğan plans to discuss Ukraine conflict with Putin

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has announced plans to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the near future to discuss the conflict in Ukraine and share the outcome of his recent meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, held in Turkey, RIA Novosti reports.

Erdoğan also said that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan would hold talks with Russian officials on the possibility of negotiations on Ukraine.

“Before any possible talks with Putin, Turkish representatives, primarily the foreign minister, will consult with their Russian counterparts. We hope to prepare the Russian side for the upcoming conversation,” Erdoğan said.
