Media outlets: Explosions thundered in the territory of the US military base in the east of Syria

Explosions were heard in the territory of the U.S. military base in the east of Syria, Lebanon-based Al Mayadeen reports.

The U.S. military base is located in the territory of the al-Omar oil field in Kurdish-controlled Deir ez-Zor Governorate, where U.S. troops have been stationed since 2017.

According to other media outlets, the base was attacked by many “kamikaze drones”. The Arab media writes that this attack was in retaliation for the assassination by U.S. forces of a high-ranking Kata’ib Hezbollah soldier.
