Stoltenberg: Kyiv has not asked us to send NATO forces to Ukraine
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that during the meetings in Brussels, Ukraine did not ask NATO to send military forces to Ukraine but to step up military aid.
“NATO is not and will not be a party to this conflict. NATO only helps Ukraine exercise its right to self-defense. We have no plans to send military forces to Ukraine; there have not been such requests.
Ukraine asks for weapons and ammunition, and we provide them, but that does not make NATO a party to the conflict,” Stoltenberg said.
