Peskov: The withdrawal of peacekeepers is a consequence of Armenia’s recognition of Azerbaijan’s 1991 borders
The withdrawal of Russian peacekeepers from Karabakh is in line with the realities in the region. Spokesperson for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said this in an interview with Channel One Russia.
“This is in line with the current realities that have formed in the region since Armenia recognized Azerbaijan’s 1991 borders. Thus, the geopolitical realities have changed there, and, in fact, they have been left with no functions to fulfill,” Peskov said.
