Blinken threatens China with sanctions for helping Russia

The U.S. is ready to take new measures and impose sanctions against China amid the situation in Ukraine. As RIA Novosti writes, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said this during his visit to China.

“We have already imposed sanctions against more than 100 legal entities from China, export controls, etc. And we are fully ready to act, to take new measures, and I clearly said that during today’s meetings,” Blinken said at a press conference in Beijing, talking about China’s alleged support to Russia.

The U.S. secretary of state also said that during his meetings he voiced serious concerns over Beijing’s alleged transfer of dual-use items and goods to Moscow, which, according to him, could benefit Russia’s military-industrial complex. Blinken thinks Russia will have difficulty continuing the military operation in Ukraine without help from China.
