The Tavush for the Homeland movement issued a statement syaing that a lawsuit will be brought against the journalist who slandered Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan.
“We previously said that on April 29, 2024, the Tavush for the Homeland movement demanded that the law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Armenia bring to justice Davit Levonyan, a journalist on the Civic News YouTube channel, and the media outlet as well for publishing a video containing obviously false allegations against Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, the primate of the Diocese of Tavush of the Armenian Apostolic Church. The law enforcement bodies have not responded to our statement and demand. Therefore, under the Civil Code of the Republic of Armenia, our legal team is filing a lawsuit against Davit Levonyan for slander and insult,” reads the statement.
