Israel’s airstrikes reported in Syria causing deaths and injuries
On the evening of May 29, news came in in Damascus that Israel made airstrikes in the north of Syria. One child was killed, and at least 10 people were injured in the attack. According to Armenpress, Syrian news agency SANA reports.
According to the agency’s military source, from the Lebanese side, Israeli air forces struck a residential building and another target in the city of Baniyas north of Tartous Governorate, Syria.
Baniyas hospital authorities reported that the number of those injured was 12, and a two-year-old girl was killed in the airstrike.
In recent years, Israel has regularly attacked the territory of Syria. Iran’s military advisers and facilities of the Damascus-backed Hezbollah movement usually become the targets of such strikes.
