Putin appoints Shoigu defense-industrial complex development coordinator
Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Sergei Shoigu as coordinator of the development of the defense-industrial complex, RBC reports.
“There are many issues: the profitability of production must be taken into account, the access of appropriate equipment to the Ministry of Defense should be ensured. In this regard, we need to have an independent coordinator, who will be the secretary of the Security Council,” Putin said.
