17 participants of pro-Samvel Karapetyan protest detained

Seventeen participants of a rally held in support of Samvel Karapetyan have been detained, the Ministry of Internal Affairs told ABC Media.

Earlier, it was reported that police were forcibly detaining participants of the protest.

A court hearing in Samvel Karapetyan’s case is taking place today at the Anti-Corruption Court.

“I am convinced that all legal actions are directed against me and members of my team. They are trying to stop our people’s dream of having a strong Armenia. I assure you, they will not succeed — changes will happen. You will see very soon,” the leader of the Strong Armenia party said during the hearing.
