Musk announces development of device that could restore sight to blinds

American billionaire Elon Musk announced that his company Neuralink has unveiled a new product called Blindsight, which is designed to enable blind people to see the world.

"Our second product is called Blindsight and it will, as the name suggests, enable even those who are completely blind or have never seen to see. It is ready from an engineering standpoint. Just waiting on regulatory approval", - he writes on X.

The billionaire also mentioned another product from the company—the Telepathy device, which was unveiled in 2024.

"It enables high-speed communication with computers or humans simply by thinking. Output bandwidth will vastly exceed the fastest human speech or typing in a few years", - Musk writes.
