To apologize and pay compensation: Aliyev makes demands on Russia for the downed plane

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev had a phone conversation on matters related to the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines aircraft, according to the Kremlin.

The Russian side must apologize to Azerbaijan. This statement was made by Aliyev while commenting on the AZAL plane crash.

“These are our conditions. I hope the rest of our conditions will be accepted as well,” he said.

Azerbaijan has rejected the official proposal of Russia’s Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) regarding the investigation into the crash.

Aliyev demands that Russia officially apologize for the downed plane, admit guilt, hold those responsible accountable, prosecute the perpetrators, and pay compensation to Baku.
