Artsakh Foreign Minister Sergey Ghazaryan responded to Azerbaijan’s demand to disband Artsakh Defense Army during Yerevan-Stepanakert video call.
He stated that Artsakh Defense Army is the key factor, ensuring the security of the local population. In fact, this has been proven many a time.
“In light of the fact that Azerbaijan’s aggressive actions, provocations and rhetoric gain momentum, it is definitely not realistic to consider the disbandment of Defense Army or that of the state administration system. This is the condition set out by Azerbaijan,” said the official.
Ghazaryan also referred to the letter that Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan sent to Russian President Vladimir Putin a few days ago. He stated that such kind of letters are regularly sent to various politicians.
