Trump agrees to 2-week truce with Iran
US President Donald Trump has announced a two-week truce with Iran, just two hours before the deadline given to Tehran.
Writing on Truth Social, Trump stated that Pakistan had requested a two-week pause on planned devastating strikes against Iran, in exchange for which Iran agreed to fully, immediately, and safely reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Trump, the truce will be mutual, and the reason for agreeing to it is that the US “has achieved its military objectives and even exceeded them.”
