Iran needs additional electricity, while Armenia needs more natural gas, Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Davit Khudatyan has said.
Khudatyan, who recently visited Iran and discussed the issue there, told reporters that the two countries could exchange energy supplies.
“We have the opportunity to mutually supply each other with gas and electricity. We have agreed to establish a working group to carry out the necessary work,” Khudatyan said.
He added that Armenia is not looking for an alternative to Russian gas.
