  • We are interested in continuing to develop the existing political dialogue and expanding partnership with the alliance (NATO), as well as with individual member states.

  • We hope that the new Armenia-NATO format, an individually tailored partnership program, will be approved soon.

  • We highly value Armenia’s participation in peacekeeping operations and consider it a significant contribution to international peace and security.

  • Our parliamentarians are engaged in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly meetings and the Rose-Roth seminars.

  • Armenia continues to follow the policy of regionalization.

  • Our special relations with Georgia and Iran are of great importance, and none of our cooperation can be directed against our own region.

  • I presented Mr. Stoltenberg with the vision and approaches of the Armenian government to establish stability and peace in the South Caucasus.

  • We expect the firm support of the international community, including NATO, for the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

  • I presented the Secretary General of NATO with the proposals for the mirror withdrawal of troops from the 1991 Armenia-Azerbaijan border, the mutual control of weapons, and the conclusion of a non-aggression pact.

  • We are also committed to the agenda of normalization of relations with Turkey.

  • In the meeting with the Secretary General of NATO, we talked about reforms in the Armenian Armed Forces; I noted that this process is not directed against any state.
