Archbishop Bagrat responded to a statement made by Ararat Mirzoyan, in which Mirzoyan called the members of the Armenian Council of Diplomats deserters.
“When they talk about diplomacy, let them remember the U.N. Security Council meeting on Sept. 20 or 21, 2023, where Ararat Mirzoyan said something and Bayramov countered him with the words of Ararat Mirzoyan’s prime minister; I will not say anything else; let them remember only that; I will not say anything else,” Archbishop Bagrat said.
He noted that there has never been such a shameful episode in the history of Armenia when an Armenian official would be countered in an international organization with the words uttered by the leader of his own country.
“I wonder how these people are not ashamed. Where is their sense of shame? Neither they nor the people in their pay have a sense of shame. Shame has died,” Archbishop Bagrat said.
