UNICEF: There are an estimated 29,000 children among the refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh

There are an estimated 29,000 children among the people from
Nagorno-Karabakh who have sought refuge in Armenia. The United Nations
International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) issued a statement on this.

“As of September 29, 2023, 98,625 people have been impacted
by recent military hostilities and have sought refuge in Armenia – an estimated
29,000 of them are children. UNICEF has established a safe space in Goris that
serves nearly 300 children daily,” reads the statement.

According to the latest report delivered by the RA
government, 100,514 displaced persons have crossed the border from
Nagorno-Karabakh into Armenia.
