Rather intense hatred, including mockery, insults, and calls
for violence, against Armenian women is spreading over Azerbaijani social
media. The “Tatoyan” Foundation made a statement on this.
“This deep hatred towards the Armenian ethnic identity has
been sponsored by the Azerbaijani authorities for years. This has led to
impunity for Azerbaijani atrocities against Armenians.
Comments in Azerbaijani social media contain calls for
murder, violence and degrading comments about Armenians, including Armenian
women (mothers, daughters; sisters, etc.) based on ethnic identity,” reads the
statement.
